I cried reading this article. I am amazed by these kids. I am amazed at the understanding and clarity my daughter shows. She was better at 9 than I was at 19!

I know right!? I was moved the same way exactly; & these kids (plus yours) are wiser & firmer on their ground than I even was at 40 I reckon! I’m probably there now, but I’m 51… 😬 ❤

The most important thing is that we got there. My daughter’s friends constantly ask me to adopt them. It’s obviously not serious but it feels great! 😘❤️

As another older white male (seriously, my 23AndMe results look like someone spilled milk all over them), I applaud this piece.
Though not as much as I applaud these high school students. Emma Gonzalez showed more courage in six minutes, 20 seconds than I ever have.
