Seven months away from WordPress: am I back? Anyone still out there? And what have I actually been doing?

Hello Folks, thanks for dropping by. I’ve been utterly missing in action I confess: have logged in maybe twice, read a couple of posts, shrugged nonchalantly, and gone again.

Some of my fav bloggers have shut themselves down, and moved to social media more regularly. Some are still here, but kinda saying the same things to be honest…

Of course, a number of blogs remain funny/sharp/fabulous etc, and I have just wandered around today catching up on Who is Where doing What and with what Success.

I’ve personally been super busily OBSESSED with a completely new creative direction. It’s nearly nine months, and I have never felt so compelled, so inspired, so excited, so delighted!

It’s better than a new lover. It’s better than a fine-dining meal. It’s waaaay better than Xmas or a birthday.

What have I been up to? A new post will reveal all 🙂

Thank you for reading and wondering: can you guess??

In gratitude for new challenges, G xO

My guesses… maybe cheesemaking?… (Gruyere is a minimum of 9 months)? or umm… (please oh please let it be) … knife forging? maybe… you are now tattooing? Have you become a benevolent dictator of a small kingdom (I would definitely be loyal subject if that is the case). Oh boy… I am picturing so many cool things a person like you could be doing. Good to hear from you and what a great picture of you

Thanks for the picture compliment- no, not cheese making… but I do think you will appreciate the challenge and the commitment- it’s a daily routine ideally…

Oddly enough, I find it easier in some ways to do graphics because I’ve always struggled with the label ‘writer’. Not that I identify as ‘artist’ either, but I was good at drawing as a kid so I guess that stays with you and boosts your confidence.
Anyway, I’m intrigued and looking forward to hearing what /you/ have been up to. 😀

Thanks love! You are gonna love it for sure, just because you are so supportive, & it’s been a long time of connecting hasn’t it? So many ‘oldies’ I used to comment with every week have now gone… 😞 I do miss the old ‘community’ we had 🙏🏼

Welcome back! I think I had just begun reading comments and finding your blog- perhaps from LA? Suddenly you were no longer there and then I became attached with writing for another blog shortly and have lost track. I am so surprised when I realize how many bloggers are either on long-term hiatus or gone without a word- which is frightening given the ages of many of the bloggers I follow. It was good to see you pop back up in my feed, but now I must make sure I still have you followed as WP likes to kick people out and off my list when I least expect it.

Thanks Deb- yes, I am a fan of LA, & we even met up in real life when I visited New York a year ago!

I agree: I am saddened when blogs suddenly disappear- some of those writers really felt like ‘friends’ or buddies… I know 3 who actually died, & more who just drifted away from blogging. But when I’m back I remember how much I did enjoy regular blogging; it just becomes another item on the To Do List though, & sometimes now I just want to do nothing… Thank you for commenting, G ☺️

I just went and checked out your blog; I am following you now, after reading your About page, and cheering for this line of yours: ‘…and fully smashing the patriarchy once and for all.’ YES 😀 G
