*sigh
Home 5 days, and still feel not quite here. Sleep is crap, creativity is pretty crap, and my ‘warm flushes’ seem to be getting hotter…
I’ve had half a dozen ideas for blog posts, but can’t seem to find the motivation or discipline to get them down and out
*sigh
Even the teenager has not been inspiring, funny, or sweet, so I can’t default to using him
*deep sigh
Normal transmission will be resumed shortly (I hope)
Ha ha – I know that feeling so well, dont worry all things will pass….go walk the beach barefoot – you will ground again soon – I always feel that although the body can fly the soul takes another path and is slower to re-join when you do long distance flying …..xxx

Oh I totally agree re my soul being missing! Barefoot on the beach is a great idea, thanks… I should have asked you for advice a week ago 😐 xx

Thank you darlin- I just saw that, & am drafting my response, thank you so much! It did actually inspire me 😃
I am hoping to finish it tomorrow morning (just had another terrible sleep 😐)
I hope you have a great day, & thanks again 🙏🏼❤️ G

I hope you get a good sleep! Lack of sleep is horrible, throws everything off. Sweet dreams

Earthshiptraveller has the right of it. There’s nothing like grounding, quite literally, back in one’s home soil. 🙂

Yup, she’s smart, & travels internationally a lot. Actually you should check out her blog as she’s just been to Alaska. I did read somewhere that a cure for jetlag was peeing outside in your garden… not sure what all my neighbors would say!

I will … peeing in the garden = marking your territory. It’s a full moon on Monday, perfect timing. 😀

Jet-lag is the pits, the only good thing about it is knowing it is temporary!!

That is so true. I just hate feeling like I’m wasting days feeling so weird & kinda ‘out of it’; usually I’m very ‘present’. Thanks for your empathy & comment 😊

When I started my blog, I wrote that I would only post when I had something to say. I think that notion should apply to all bloggers…when you have something to say, say it. If not, umm, you know, don’t. 🙂
You will recover, you will find inspiration, and you will post. Until then, I prescribe (using epidemiology doctorate) rest, relaxation and recharging. 🙂

Thanks Matt. I agree completely with only blogging something worth writing… but usually I could blog almost every day, so I’m missing my outlet. I will gladly take your prescription though, thank you : )

Got it. I am lucky if I get a post up once a week, so I admire your dedication. 🙂

Oh I wasn’t always so diligent, but decided in February this year to really commit to blogging for 6-12 months and see how I went… I’ve quickly found it very addictive yet also relaxing. We all have our own paces & voices don’t we? That’s the beauty of it all.

I take a good week to function fully after flying 26 + hours over approximately 12,000 kilometres. Yuk ! I hope you come right soon.

Thanks- yes- it will be a week tomorrow since I got home, & today is probably the closest to being ‘me’ I’ve felt. Yet some people don’t seem to get it at all! 😐

I can completely relate. The roller coaster that is writing, right? Inspiration will find you soon and I can’t wait to read when it does! Sending you all the good vibes 💖

Body and brain need rest to do their thing. Be kinder to yourself.

I agree completely, thank you. And I’m glad to say the jetlag has passed, so I’ll be posting again tomorrow : )
